The name of the group will be Crowborough Youth Council (CYC). The CYC will receive development and administration support from Wealden Youth Service staff.

Aims and objectives

• To make Crowborough a better place for young people.
• To get the different generations of Crowborough to interact together more. Additionally to help old people feel more confident about young people and futhermore, safer.
• Encourage better facilities for people with a disability.
• More funded/subsidised activities for young people in Crowborough.
• To liase with Jarvis Brook Community Association for their improvement plans for Jarvis Brook Park.
• To have a proper shelter at Goldsmiths Leisure Centre with allocated graffiti areas to deter people from graffiti in the town.
  

Membership

• The CYC shall consist of a maximum of 15 young people and a minimum of 4.
• The age range of CYC is 11 - 19.
• The members will need to live in Crowborough or the surrounding areas.
• To resign from the group you must write formal letter which explains why and when you wish to leave the group. This must be done with at least a months notice.

Members

• The members will be elected by a vote once a year in September by majority voting system unless a member of the executive committee resigns.
• The executive committee: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer.

Meetings & Attendance

• The CYC will meet every fortnight and will be held at Clued Up in Crowborough town centre.
• The CYC members will attend most meetings if possible. If they are unable to they will need to contact the Chairman or Vice Chairman.
